Our 3 year old room

As three year old children are getting better at using fine motor skills we begin teaching children to not only recognize their name and know the letters of their name, but also how to write their own name. We also begin to teach counting groups of objects as we do this children also begin to recognize numbers. Children continue to learn self help skills such as washing hands, faces, and continuing to potty without help. Social and emotional skills are taught as well children at this age typically play with children rather than side by side.  We begin to teach children how to take turns, how to show comfort to an unhappy friend, how to identify different emotions and how to solve arguments and disagreements.
